Center of Excellence (CoE)

Ex Navodayan Foundation offers 2-year coaching program, exclusively to the students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV). Students can enroll into this program by qualifying a common entrance test, Navodaya Dakshana Selection Test (NDST), organized by Dakshana Foundation. This test is only for JNV students and is conducted simultaneously at 600+ centers across India every year. The test is divided into four parts: Logical Reasoning, Mathematics/Biology, Physics and Chemistry. The subject-related questions follow the NCERT syllabus of Class 9 and Class 10, although the level of difficulty for questions might be higher. Dakshana selects JNV students for the test, through their schools, based on their performance at internal examinations during Class 9 and 10. Dakshana accepts these results only from the JNVs through their respective NVS Regional Offices. Once selected for the test, the respective JNV students must fill the NCST application form on the Dakshana website. Dakshana publishes the list of selected students to be appeared in NCST, a month before the test, to its website. The results of NCST are normally declared in the first week of April/May. Students who qualify the test, get the opportunity to enroll themselves, for the 2 year classroom program (Centre of Excellence). The qualified students have the advantage to choose any of the CoE program’s knowledge partner, as per their preference (Knowledge Partners who conduct CoE program under them – ENF/Dakshana/Avanti), then accordingly they get assigned to their respective knowledge partners. Post that, students are requested to relocate at the respective JNVs where CoE classes are being conducted, according to the knowledge partners’ division. Likewise, students who opt to pursue their preparation with Ex Navodayan Foundation, are relocated to the JNV centres, where Ex Navodayan Foundation conducts its CoE classes. As per the functioning of CoE and managing this program, Ex Navodayan Foundation sends its team of expertise in Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology, along with the program coordinator, to its respective CoE centres. These faculties reside at the allocated JNV, and guide the students with the complete dedication and support, for the preparations of JEE/NEET competitive exams.

Currently, we operate our 2-year CoE classroom program at – JNV Meja – PrayagRaj (Uttar Pradesh) ; JNV Gajokhar – Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) ; and JNV Rajgir – Nalanda.
Students who cleared JEE-ADVANCED examination, got admission in various centres of IITs, whereas, JEE Mains qualified students are pursuing their education in premium institutions like NIT/IIIT etc.
We also provide complete support to the students even after completion of their 2 years CoE program – by assisting them with counseling for their desired institutes, and also by providing the scholarships to the deserving students.

Girls Education

In June 2023, Ex Navodayan Foundation has collaborated with the Department of Social Welfare – Uttar Pradesh and with TATA AIG Group, to support the noble cause of Girls Education, and started running a 2-year residential classroom program, at Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay Rajkiya Ashram Paddhati Balika Vidyalay, Mirzapur. With this program, we provide the opportunity to the students of this school (who usually belong to the marginalized background), for getting high quality education, and help them in the preparation of JEE/NEET exams. With this initiative, we have opened the doors for them, to cross all the social barriers and pursue their dreams of achieving something big in their life.

We express our sincere gratitude to the Department of Social Welfare – Uttar Pradesh and TATA AIG group, for their constant support and cooperation in running this program smoothly and efficiently.
